O Jesus,
through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,
I offer You all my prayers, works,
joys and sufferings of this day
in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
throughout the world,
for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart,
in reparation for my sins,
for the intentions of all my relatives and friends,
and in particular
for the intentions of the Holy Father this month.
Amen.
This year in preparation for our 150th Anniversary Mass, we also renovated our church vestibule, and added an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe. An image of the Immaculate Conception, hers is a fascinating story. The link above is to an article which I copied from a website, maryourmother.net. There isn’t an author cited, but I wanted to provide the text for your study.
This is the prayer we’ve prayed at the end of each Mass for a year. We now entrust it to you, please add it to your prayer collections for the days to come and continue to pray for our parish family, for health and safety, for unity and peace:
Father, Son and Spirit, Trinity most holy,
We praise and thank you for the life of grace received by our parish community, Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception, over the past 150 years.
We are grateful for the faith and courage of those who built this parish community and those who have led your people into union with you.
We ask today that you strengthen us as the Body of Christ, your people dedicated to the spread of the Gospel, and witnesses to your truth and love.
Guide us as we seek to do your will now and throughout the years to come. May we grow in fidelity to your Word and charity to all our brothers and sisters. Bless our families with holiness and peace.
We offer this prayer for your praise and glory as we say: Glory to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and will be forever.
Saint Mary of the Immaculate Conception, pray for your children who are dedicated to you for all eternity. Amen.
